even though they figured out how to make clunky dialogue even clunkier, and i have no idea how anyone who hasn't had the incredibly good fortune to read the book would understand what's going on, and i really can't figure out how sam is going to get down those cliffs without galadriel's rope, and why weren't we told about the elvish cloaks and clasps, and if you're gonna cut the receipt of bill the pony, cut the goodbye to bill the pony...
the addition of the fight between gandalf and saruman was great. i loved viggo's wry smile as he was about to kick a lot of orcish ass, and--sweet jesus!--are cate and liv beautiful.
