right.

so i've been trying to sort out all the candidates for president, and everything, and was pretty sure about the doctor, but now comes this new guy, who i'm sort of ashamed to know not so much about, so i went to his website and saw some polling numbers, and started to wonder about the general. and i like his 100 year vision. and i like that he's a leader. and i like those numbers. and i think if he gets the nomination, he will be the next president of the united states. so will someone please tell me why i should not support clark?

(i mean this in all seriousness. dean was my choice, his support has been staggering, and all, but the numbers at the end of the day just don't add up. and i know the election is a ways away and all, but i really think wwe need to start now, and so, well, what do we think, everybody?)

from theny times.:

"I think the American people continue to express their support for ridding the world of Saddam Hussein based on just cause, knowing that Saddam Hussein had chemical and biological weapons that were unaccounted for that we're still confident we'll find," Mr. Fleischer said. "I think the burden is on those people who think he didn't have weapons of mass destruction to tell the world where they are."

WHAT? is he fucking serious?

ok. i decided to launch a new blog. for a few reasons. the other day something happened where i thought "i should write about this in my journal." then i thought, "i should start a new blog, where i have a support system in place, many of whom are dealing with the same things." so i did.

so here it is, ghost light, which will basically chronicle my journey as an actor in a brand new town. some stuff starts now, as i did a mailing and stuff, and it will continue through my departure, and beyond. anyway, when you click through, there will be a couple of posts already. make sure either to scroll down and read the bottommost post first, or click the link under "about this blog" titled "that rarest of chances" which is a link to the first post.

anyway, you may find me over there more often than here, but hard to say, really.

yes, yes, i know it's been a long time since my last post, but cut me some slack.

it has recently come to my attention that i am moving to a brand new city where i have spent a grand total of about 17 hours, including airport time. i will be moving to this city in approximately 7 weeks. in that seven weeks, i have to spend as much time as possible with my new york friends, pack a 1 bedroom apartment that has roughly twice as much stuff as when i moved into it 5.5 years ago, sell as much of that stuff as possible, find a new apartment to live in, teach four years of voice and speech work to actors in 25 hours of classtime, teach the same actors how to parse a script in about 11 hours of class time, and jump-start a career in a place where nobody knows who i am, which includes a mailing campaign the likes of which i haven't mounted in 7 years, a brand new audition strategy, and more expenses than i have the capital to cover.

since this has come to my attention, i have become, amazingly, slightly more efficient, but no more able to bend time to my will.

any suggestions on how to remedy that?
